Hi Romaq, you can. Just pay me the months you would like to pay, and send me an IM letting me know you paid for X number of months. I can manually change you billing data in the database at that time.

That actually would be a nice feature as well.. to add to the server the ability to pay it... So you can pay your monthly fees when you like.

I just wanted to jot down a few notes about the product you won't find anywhere else...

I worked over a year on the protocol that is used in the communcations between the in world servers and my real life servers. All data is encrypted, even linked data is encrypted. While a inventory server really does not require this much security (some might say), its good to know its there.

The site itself is also super secure. I use to work for a mortgage company, and I reused the security features of their site I developed. Their site was trusted with millions in transactions a week, detailed credit information, and in over 7 years of services was never compromised in any fashion.

The framework I have developed over this last year will make it super easy for me to continue to make and provide awesome applications like this including add ons, with full integration between them.

I was curious how you get a free month to try you product. I use Second Inventory at the moment. It appears you have to purchase the product. The ongoing costs arent a problem as its user pays as it should be and if you dont like it you stop. But if you have to pay 3950L initially its a big out of pocket for a one month trial.Kind Regards, Mel

Second, why the restriction to copy items only? I don't mind if the server needs to re-sync after no-copy items are moved around, but this places a rather severe limit on the the usefulness of it for me.

When I rez a server, it asks me if I will permit it to take Lindens. Obviously this is for the monthly billing.

My question is, if I rez a second server, will I get billed twice? Is the fee L$599/month/server? Also, what's the practical limit to the number of items in a single server?

Still would like to know what the effective limit is on number of items...

A.. It does not auto align to the server cabinet, like other server cabinet component. You can just rez it and manually move it into the server cabinet. I should make it doe this though .

A. The biggest reason is, no copy items are to easily destroyed. I don't know what I would say to a person if for some reason something happened to their items.

A. You will only be billed the 499 once per month. Not per server.

Q. what's the practical limit to the number of items in a single server?

A. Oh.. you know, there really isn't one, that I have found.. but.. I would play it safe and keep the item count below 10,000 in each server. I have seen servers with 27000 items in it... But I always think your take a little bit of a risk if it is that high.

I definitely understand the concern about accidental destruction of no-copy items, though the way I'm organizing at the moment, any inv destruction would be, um, unpleasant If there's a way you could make a "Use at your own risk" update that would allow no-copy items I'd really appreciate it, being able to organize my stuff whether copy-perm or not would be an immense help.

Oh, one other, reading notecards from the web interface does not appear to be working. Is there anything I need to do to enable it? I get a progress bar, but then it goes away and nothing shows up. I've tried several notecards that I am certain have no embedded objects in them without success

Hi Corvan.. sorry didn't see your message posted until now. Notecard reading can take some time, you should see the notecard text after about 2 minutes. You have to leave that notecard and come back to see the text.

I will double check it later tonight make sure it is working though, and let you know if I find issues.

I've got an odd situation and not sure the best way to proceed. I loaded a bunch of landmarks and notecards into one of my servers this morning and the new items are not showing up in my Unsorted folder. I can see an example of one of the landmarks, Restrained Freedom in this case, but a search of my inventory does not find it.

Is there any way to force a re-sync of the server's inventory with the folder view? I tried resetting the server and re-syncing that way, but that does not appear to have had any effect.

P.S.: Thanks for the info about notecards, I am seeing note card contents, just takes longer than I expected to bring the notecard in.

Hi Corvan ... awesome..

You can do a hard reset with "Tools/Reset Script in selected", then touch it to bring it back on line. It will then prompt you if you would like to resync...

If you do delete something in the trash you will see behavior like you described, it just won't be on the site anywhere anymore, but is not removed from the server itself.

In the search on the web interface, I'd really like to be able to search anywhere in the name of the item, not just the beginning. A case in point. Let's say I have two items: "Test object" and "This is a Test Object". Currently a search for "Test" will only find the first item. I'd like it to find both.
