I had a chance to check out the new viewer release in beta and thought I'd share my experience with you. 

So what's new in the new anticipated viewer? The first thing that may be of concern is the additional option in the Edit>Preference>General tab where you can set the ratings. The Adult rating would only be available if you have an age verified your account. If you're not age verified, you can only see PG and Mature. The settings you choose in the General tab will relate what you can search for within the Second Life search Button.

In World> About Land or My Land now has the type of sim included i.e Full Sim, Open Sim, Homestead etc. A handy thing to know when buying land.That section now contains Parcel Name, Region, Type and area.

A cool new feature to the mini map is great idea, you can now also hover your mouse over any dot be it yellow(Friend) or Green and it will tell you that residents name.

One final thing for this installment is Right Click on a HUD, you may of noticed when you right click a HUD now your avatar menu comes up in the pie, they have moved it to second level so you will now have to click more to view the Edit,Detach or Drop menu.
