For the last week, I have not written anything on the blog, mostly because I have been busy working on a new site for Skidz Partz which will replace the blog as well.

This was my first experience with Joomla, PHP, and Apache. In the past all my development has been windows based (C#, ASP.NET, MSSQL). But, being on a budget, and wanting to expand my knowledge of Linux and open source I thought I would give it a try. It was a lot easier than I thought. It took me about 1 week to do everything you see. Joomla made it really easy, so a big hats off to the team that developed it. Its perfect for what I need and I didn't have to spend all the time developing a comprehensive CMS.
